Over the coming months, the Connecticut River Collaborative Planning Committee will be holding a series of public forums and meetings to review its final proposals for merging the Essex North Supervisory Union and SAU-7 school districts into a single Interstate district.
While the dates - and venues - for these forums have yet to be determined, the plan as of now is to hold a public meeting in the spring of 2021 - assuming and provided conditions permit - to present the final model for merger to parents, students, taxpayers and other stakeholders. Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, we anticipate that some or all of these forums will be held online, with opportunity for public input.
Additional public outreach - again through online and other means - will take place throughout the winter and spring in order to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn as much as they can about the plan, to ask questions, and to express concerns.
We anticipate that a public vote on the proposal will take place in the fall of 2021.
Please check this page often as we’ll be publishing the meeting dates, times, and locations as they become available.
